Ramani, brings with him varied and rich experience spanning  five decades, holds a Doctorate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Master Degree on Mechanical Engineering, a Post graduate diploma  from  IIM Calcutta in Management. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical and also Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras. He has qualified as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer from the Auxiliary Air Force where he served as a commissioned officer for seven years as engineering officer of a Squadron.
